about

If you like Progressive Rock as well as the hard rocking style of Jeff Waters' Annihilator, Mattias Eklundh's Freak Kitchen and King's X, this is something for you!

This is the fresh sounding and dynamic remaster (HiRes 24Bit/ 88.2KHz) of JUNK FARM’s third hard rocking and grooving album DIDN’T COME TO DANCE, officially published under the Canadian Progressive Rock label UNICORN DIGITAL in 2009. JUNK FARM has been the former German power rock trio of guitarist and singer BENJAMIN SCHIPPRITT.

On this album you’ll find 13 energetic and guitar driven songs, which are meant to be "in your face". In the typical Junk Farm manner and with the focus on Power Rock, the band covered a great variety of styles on a skilled playing level. Besides that you’ll find out how it feels to be a stalker, how it is to talk to yourself, what girls do hide in their purse and what it means to grow old or how to write a love song ;-) .... this and much more is covered on this album. Although the music is complex, it is very catchy and easy to listen to. But not too much, because you know: They didn't come to dance!

For those who are interested in high quality lossless audio, a technical note about this remaster:

"The original recording resolution was 24bit/44.1KHz. For remastering I doubled the sample rate to 88.2KHz. EQing enhancing/adding harmonic content, enhancing transient response etc. works much smoother at higher resolution. Finally I kept the higher resolution to prevent further downgrading of the audio by a new, too steep anti-aliasing filter that 44.1KHz would demand, and to keep the additional harmonic content, as well as the 24bit of origin. Furthermore I’d like to mention that, compared to the former release, no additional compression has been used for remastering. Besides an overall different frequency balance, a greater dynamic range was the goal!"

Enjoy and all the best!
Benjamin
